Thermage

Thermage uses radiofrequency electrical energy to heat the tissues under the probe. The NXT machine also has a coolant which cycles with the heat, to allow maximum heat transfer into the tissue giving the best possible result, but with the smallest amount of discomfort.

With Thermage treatments of other areas, such as the face, eyes, crepey abdominal skin or loose skin of thighs and arms, the Thermage treatment tips aims to pass the energy through the very superficial layers of the skin, causing tightening and smoothing.

For cellulite treatment, Thermage has developed the DC tip which has a very different profile.

There are some complex differences in the electronics and physics, but simply the cellulite treatment tips from Thermage cause heating of the skin and underlying superficial fat layers. This is a much deeper effect than the Thermage treatments elsewhere on the body. Thus not only is the skin tightened and smoothed but a contouring effect is also achieved. It does not matter what skin colour you have as it is not a laser and therefore does not rely on any pigment in the skin to achieve its effect. Therefore it has the same result in any colour skin.

This has an additional advantage in that, unlike laser, you are able to go into the sunlight right up to treatment and immediately after treatment.

VelaShape^™

VelaShape^™ is one of the new non-surgical and non-invasive medical solutions to have proven results. The concept behind the treatment is called "elos". This is a combination of energies that reduce the volume of the tissue and improve the appearance of the skin. This is achieved by heating the fatty tissues in the problem areas.

VelaShape^™ uses vacuum and tissue manipulation to even out the skin, breaking apart the groups of fat cells and targets the fat tissues. It encourages a chemical reaction that takes place in the deeper layers, making the fat easier to metabolize which helps to shrink the fat and reveal a smooth and tighter figure.

Endermology

Endermology is a non-invasive technique to reduce the appearance of cellulite and help to eliminate stubborn fat. Endermology uses rollers that feel like a deep massage over problem areas of the skin. Areas that can be treated are - inner and outer thighs, buttocks, stomach, arms and bra strap lines.

The machine has a vacuum that creates a suction to immobilize and lift soft tissues with the rollers, massaging the tissues at the same time. The vacuum helps to pull the septas (fibrous bands of tissue that surround fat cells in the skin to keep them in place) back up, smoothing and evening the surface of the skin, helping to improve the appearance of the skin. Endermology also improves the circulation and lymphatic system.
